Mix: Cutout bug

When switching to edit adjustments on the upper layer(s) and returning to the sizing/moving view, any attempt after the first changes the cut area of the layer, making further adjustments impossible. The first image imported can be edited as often as one likes, but images imported after the first (which default to top layer on import) usually give me only one shot at adjusting (there are times when I can get more than one, but the bug always hits after the first or second adjustment). Moving the layers up or down doesn't fix the problem; the bug affects any images imported after the first no matter which layer I move it to. 

If anyone knows a way to fix this, let me know, otherwise this is just a bug report. I'm running v 21.41.0 on iPhone 13 Pro.
