Very disappointed with the removal of Photoshop Mix, the app worked perfectly.
My Photoshop Express App shows no options to combine photos (or videos), or options to add layers. I can only edit a photo or create a collage.
I signed up to premium on the assurance that the Mix features were present in Express, but that is not the case at all!
Adobe's website is misleading, as it says you can combine photos by selecting the "combine photo" option from the home screen - this simply doesn't exist!
I have cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still no Mix features in sight.
We understand your concern. Please refer to the below article for more information:
We are still working on getting the features for Android as Mix, and they are being processed. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank you,
Neelam

It's so mind blowing that they'll let us use AI to generate a background but we can't use our own files and just merge them together. It's such a simple thing that existed for years and years.

It's so annoying and hard to believe that they would remove functionality from an app before it was established in a replacement. It just shows the shortsightedness of development because they only believe and invest in one platform, Apple. I hate to inform you but, the world doesn't completely run only on Apple even though it is an effective platform.
Android is also extremely popular for people that don't want to dip into the Apple world.
But I don't understand is I was completely fine with not running updates any longer with Adobe mix. And even your documentation said you could continue to use it as long as you wanted without any future updates. I was fine with that as an option and opposed to losing the feature. I come to find that you physically crippled the app from being able to be registered and running locally. If you're not going to fix the problem with it missing from Adobe Photoshop Express then can you please reinstitute the option to be able to attach the older version of Adobe mix to an existing Adobe registration account?
THAT'S A GOOD MIDDLE OF THE ROAD COMPROMISE AND COULD ADDRESS A LOT OF THE EXISTING PEOPLE'S ISSUES WHY YOU WORK TO REMEDIATE THE MISSING FEATURE SET

THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS!
You have not brought the ability to combine or blend photographs into the product after I've been waiting for it patiently for a very long time.
You made a very terrible business decision to destroy Photoshop mix which was a superior product and then had the audacity to say you were porting all the features over to this Adobe Photoshop Express... So after being extremely patient with your really dumb decision, I see an update that comes out today but it provides themes as a feature. I have Android and I relied on Adobe mix for its capabilities to blend photos, and offer cut and paste options. To combine photos.
And you felt it was necessary to release THEMES?
Not to mention most of them are pretty stupid looking but they don't have any basic functionality other than appealing to 14-year-olds.
Get your act together and actually grow up for a change and please incorporate the promised changes to a long-awaited feature since you took away a functional program and replaced it with nothing.
Android lives!
iPhones are inferior!

Missing Features in Adobe Photoshop Mobile for Android
As a long-time Adobe user, I am concerned about the absence of combined and blend photo functionalities in Adobe Photoshop mobile for Android.
These features were available in Adobe Photoshop Mix, which has now been deprecated.
When Adobe transitioned to Photoshop mobile, users were promised a better experience. However, removing essential features without offering alternatives raises questions about product continuity and user needs.
Combining and blending images are fundamental for many photographers and artists. This oversight suggests a disconnect between Adobe’s priorities and user expectations.
I urge Adobe to prioritize the integration of these features in Photoshop mobile. Addressing user feedback is crucial for maintaining loyalty and enhancing the value of your software.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

One More Thing:
It's alarming that Adobe, a supposed leader in creative software, has allowed such a critical gap to persist.
By failing to integrate essential blending capabilities into Photoshop mobile, Adobe appears to be asleep at the wheel while competitors swiftly capitalize on this oversight.
Many users are now gravitating toward alternative applications that offer these functionalities, jeopardizing Adobe's reputation as an industry pioneer.
If Adobe wishes to maintain its status as the go-to platform for creative professionals, it must urgently prioritize the reintroduction of these features. Ignoring user needs is not just a missed opportunity; it risks alienating a loyal community that expects more from a brand of Adobe's caliber!

I completely agree!
It’s frustrating to see Adobe removing essential features while pushing users toward more expensive devices.
The expectation is for innovation, not regression.
Layers and the ability to combine photos are fundamental tools for any creative professional.
If Adobe doesn’t prioritize these functionalities, they risk losing a lot of loyal users who are simply seeking the tools they need to create effectively.
It’s time for them to listen to their community and restore these features!

Missing Layering Feature in Photoshop Express for Android
Dear Adobe Team,
I wanted to express my disappointment regarding the absence of the layering and layer content editing feature in Photoshop Express for Android. This was an essential tool that I used frequently, and its removal, especially after the deprecation of the previous app, has left a significant gap in functionality.
It’s been quite some time now with no updates on this feature for Android, and it’s frustrating for users like myself who rely on it for their creative work. Could you please let me know when this feature will be added back to the Android version of Photoshop Express?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I completely agree—removing Photoshop Mix and its features from Photoshop Express is a big disappointment. The lack of options to combine photos and use layers is frustrating, especially when Adobe’s website misleadingly claims they’re available. Hopefully, Adobe listens and brings these features back soon.

How hard would it have been to leave Mix in place until these functions were available? Half a year later and still no sign of this missing functionality being restored. 😞

You are all wasting your time complaining about the issue of Adobe short changing Android users. Adobe do this every time they torpedo an app and bring out a new version. They will keep replying "we apologise", "we are working on it", "blah blah blah". They did it with Adobe Express etc. The fact is that they have a deal with Apple that they will give Apple a head start on all new releases of at least a year, and keep Android users in the dark. One of the Adobe moderators let this slip while replying to a complaint from a user. You will note that the latest Adobe Express in not available on Android tablets, but it has been on iPads from the beginning. They will continue to make these weak excuses until Apple gives the go-ahead, and then the delayed features that they are "working on" will miraculously be available to Android users

This feels like the basis of a class action lawsuit. We're paying exorbitant amounts for this software and not receiving promised or promoted functionality, nor do we have any sort of roadmap or estimated timeline.
In the meantime, Adobe Express does basic layers if you absolutely need them now.

I can't believe it either.
It just stopped working without any indication and was replaced by nothing.
