Here's a workaround I use to lock the left side bar such that it's always visible (assuming you can afford the screen real estate): with nothing selected, click on one of the tabs in the left side bar (say Media). From this point on, the side bar will always show until you close it with the X button (or reload)

Hi

@mai32214641578l

,

Welcome to the community! I'd like to inform you that when you click outside the text box, the toolbar panel disappears, keeping your workspace clean and distraction-free. I think this is an expected behaviour to make your editing experience smoother and more efficient.

You can still share your valuable feedback here.

Regards,

Tarun

This behavior is VERY annoying, because when the sidebar disappears, the worksheet constantly moves. Rather than helping, this behavior is very stressful. I advise that at least one has the option to lock it.

Hey @marcosg42259282, Welcome to Adobe Express community!

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when it disrupts your workflow. Unfortunately, there isn't currently an option to lock the toolbar in the web version of Adobe Express.

That said, I appreciate your feedback—it’s valuable for improving the user experience. I’d recommend sharing this suggestion directly to our product team here: https://adobe.ly/4kqtmVw

They might reach out to you for more info on this!

In the meantime, you might find it helpful to adjust your zoom settings or workspace layout to minimize movement. Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!

Best,

Amitej

Everytime I select an element, the left panel appears and the page moves to the right.

When you deselect the item, the page moves back to the left.

This right-left move is really disturbing. Because when I select an item, it is pined down by the mouse in the same position in the screen, so when the main panel moves to the right, the item is `draged` to the left of the page, destroying the layout of the page......

Can we pin the left panel to avoid this?

Hello @tancrèdef67135912

Thanks for reaching out. We understand your frustration. However, it might be due to a change in the browser's zoom setting. Please let us know what browser you are using and if you have zoomed in on your browser or project.

If yes, can you try resetting Zoom on the browser and the project and check if this helps? Additionally, you can try clearing the browser's cache and cookies.

Regards,

Sonali

I have the same issue and would like to figure out how to fix this too.

I'm using Chrome. Tried the suggestions above just in case, but nothing made any difference.

Hey @Bubbly_magnificence5FE8, Thanks for posting here, and welcome to our community!!

This issue generally arises due to the browser's zoom properties; however, to better understand and investigate the issue you're having, we'd need a screen recording. Could you share that? Also, let us know if you are getting the same issue when you work on other recommended browsers(Edge, Safari, or Firefox) or their private/incognito mode.

The whole point is to be able to zoom in to clearly see the content that I am editing. But then when I click on the item, it immediately pans to the left and opens the panel. I understand the need to have the panel appear since it gives editing options for the item I have selected. HOWEVER, it should not pan AWAY from the item I am editing. Something needs to be done to allow the item to freeze where you zoomed in when the panel opens.
