Donut tutorial

The donut tutorial opens with the controls off the bottom of the screen of my iPad Air 2 in both portrait and landscape so I can’t use it, any ideas?

It hasn't been fixed for me, so can you explain what to do to make it work?  I'll include screen shots of the tutorial.
