Hi there,

When you open an image in Photoshop Mix through the camera app or by selecting an image, the application automatically assigns a transparent canvas (background) to the image. You can resize the image you have opened by using pinch to zoom to resize the image and reveal the transparent background.

We do not have an option to add a dedicated transparent layer.
