22.3 Completely breaks the Pen Tool?

Make a new path.  Close the path and rename it.  Keep the path highlighed in the path panel.  Try to add to that path.  Not happening.  The Pen Tool just adds single points that are not connected.  Have I lost my mind or is that the worst bug ever produced by the PS team?

This bug has been reported to Adobe. The workaround to keep a Work Path open, then it will work as expected. The Work Path can have only one point.

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately 23.3 is unusable if you use paths.  The work around will not allow the user to edit the path once closed.

Ah, now I understand the workaround.  I just read about it stated another way.  Thank you.

Here is the page from the Feedback forum that is followed by the developers if you want to make comments for Adobe. There is also a video from c_pfaffenbichler. The only other option is to revert to 22.2, but this works until Adobe fixes it.
