Can anyone tell me why when I convert a layer to 3D it warps it instead of keeping it the original shape? It looks God awful and I can't have this happening cuz I will lose my job :). I don't want to have to use Maya just to do this. This is happening on 2019 and 2020.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That looks like pixel distortion and I would assume the model copies what is in the base image... Convert the image to a path and then make your 3D model from that path should clean it up
