3D layer with animation timeline crash after clicking save, save as, or export

2019 Mac Pro with all systems up to date

Project is a 14 second animation with one 3D layer containing multiple objects.. a few camera pans and lighting changes.. that's all! I have made and re-made the same project 4 times because, each time, once I am finished; clicking render or export immediately crashes photoshop and all my work disappears.  Clicking save or save as does the same thing... I have recently jumped back into photoshop and am not entirely sure how to save my project in case something like this happens (aka the save button causes a crash). Is there something I could be doing to avoid losing my entire project because of a crash?

Same issue here, it's so frustrating. They have recommended me to use Rosetta but it's worst! Such a waste of time and money.
