Adjusting “Snap to” distance?

Was I dreaming? I could’ve sworn that somewhere you could change the snapping distance -- I feel like the default was something like 4 pixels, regardless of zoom? Maybe specifically for guides?

Alternatively, does anyone know how snapping behavior is affected by zoom percentage?

You can adjust the subdivision increments of the grid (Preferences > Guides, grids, slices) and turn on View > Snap to Grid.

Great tip, thanks, Barbara! But what if I don’t turn on Snap to Grid, what’s the default? And does the distance change based on the zoom?
