Adjustment levels not working in Photoshop

Suddenly, I am unable to adjust levels on any file/image I'm working on. I have tried shutting down the computer and rebooting. I am able to slide the sliders but nothing impacts the levels of the image. The droppers don't work either. I wonder if I accidently hit some setting or there has been some update on I activate this feature overnight. If you have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue with the new (2022) version of Elements I just downloaded. The levels adjustment isn't working. Moving the slider has no effect on the image.

I'm using Windows 11
