Adobe Photoshop 2020 slower than any other yearly release

I just want to rant about how slow and slower Adobe Photoshop gets each year... Adobe has 0 regards to performance and cares only about adding new useless features. Selecting a layer in 2020 takes half a second whereas it should be instant, looping trough text in layers takes minutes whereas with nowadays computers it should be almost, if not, instant. PSD formats are the worst I ever had to deal with in terms of coding. You did only one thing in 2020 regarding performance, you made the new document window open faster, big deal. You should take a year and look at your damn app inside. CS6 was flawless, extremely fast on a simple Dual Core laptop, then it all went downhill since CC, an I7 latest-gen OCed and RTX 2060 hardware acceleration can barely keep up with it... what gives?

What gives is that you are pretty much barking up the wrong tree as this is a user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.
