In previous versions, after cropping out part of the photo I was able to drag back with the crop tool to restore the parts cropped. I just tried with 21.2.2 and I was unable to. Unless it is only a feature of Lightroom? Thanks

There is a checkbox in the options bar for the Crop tool to delete pixels after cropping. The default is to delete, and you had most likely changed this before. Click the checkbox to toggle the behavior.
