Alt Click and Drag text size not working

Alt-clicking any other property works, EXCEPT the "Set the font Size" and Set the font Leading" properties in characters menu. Alt-click and drag make the property increase or decrease in decimal increments, (shift-click and drag makes it go up or down in multiples of 10) that's gone now and doesn't work anymore! That's one of the most useful parts. Does anyone have the same issue?
