Alt + Right click drag: lock/disable OPACITY change. (Feature request?)

Hi, guys!

I use Photoshop mainly for illustration and concept art. I prefer to resize brush size with ALT + RIGHT CLICK DRAG, but if you drag up and down you change the opacity. I would like to lock this feature, so draging only changes size. The issue here is that I often end up changing the opacity without noticing it. Is there a way to disable opacity change on alt + right click drag method? If not, this would be a good feature to add, since it is faster to resize the brush this way, rather than by clicking the brackets.

Other people have requested this before on other forums:

Thanks in advance!! Best regards!!

Please give us option to Lock opacity!
or disable it when chaning to brush size wiht alt-ctrl drag...

It shouldn't be that hard.

Just spend (again) a half hour cleaning my picture because eraser has been at 97-99%. It is really frustrating. And it would be so easy to fix.

Can't believe this option still doesn't exist in 2022. I also would want to disable the brush opacity vertical slider and there seems to be no way to do it. You just lose so much time resetting the opacity to 100% everytime

Yep. You lose time resetting the opacity.

And even more time when you forgot to reset it fix all the errores made with 97% Brush or Eraser.
With painting it doesn't matter so much, but in "black&white" drawings that has single color background it is noticeable.

There is a feature request for this. So it would be great if you vote and comment, if you haven't allready 🙂

2024 and still not available? I'm not the only one that suffers. I have a shortcut on my wacom pen so I can click and drag to resize the brush. I founf  it to be the most efficient technique for my workflow. The amount of time I loose painting whole sections at 99% oppacity. I've even deliveered work without realizing the mistake. Guys please fix this!

Single biggest issue for me in PS, as a professional digital painter. This issue (almost) alone has nosedived my opinion of Adobe.
