Running Windows 10, Camera Raw 12.4.
Just recently I’ve found that any raw images that I open in Camera Raw for preparation to bring into Photoshop appear almost completely black. The histogram in the corner reflects this, but not the one embedded into the curve editor. Messing with some clipping indicators reveals that there is a tiny bit of information still there, but it’s all been crunched down into black.
Opening the image in Photoshop proper reveals the correctly exposed image and Lightroom doesn’t seem to encounter the same problem, just Camera Raw.
I feel like there’s a really simple thing that I’m missing here but I’ll happily be called out for it.
Hi
Try going into the ACR preferences and turning off "Use Graphics Processor" and restarting your Adobe apps
