Brush adjustment with brackets not working in mask mode

Hello all.

Since the recent update, I cannot adjust the brush using the brackets while in mask mode. I had this issue with a previous version but the updated (original one, not this last one a few days ago) fixed it. But now it's back. Anyone else? Am I just missing something?

It's only in mask mode. 

Also, is there a way to return to the version before this past update?

PS... I'm on a Mac...

You can use the Creative Cloud app to download previous versions of PS.

Still looking for the reason for the brackets not working while in mask mode... sorry, might have jumped the gun and shown this as answered... only part was...
