Brushes causing problem

With the new 2021 version of PS I kept getting an error message and wouldn't let me save my work etc.. I purchased some brushes and imported them last night. I keep getting that error message, so I did some reading and decided to go ahead and install the later version of PS. So I did that and then imported my brushes again etc.. Now when I go to open photoshop it takes forever and it seems to start loading until it gets to the brushes and then it stops loading and gets stuck if I leave it, it will eventually load but it takes way too long. Also when I went to close PS, same thing it took forever to even close. Is it possible that one of the brushes is causing the problem and if so is there anyway to find out which one it could be?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

It seems unlikely that one brush causes the problems.
