Camera Raw suddenly does not recognise CR2 files

Camera Raw has decided it can not recognise Canon CR2 files. after working on images this morning, I updated PhotoMechanic, now Camera Raw 13.2 doesnot recognise CR2 files?

Are you possibly trying to open RAW files from a new camera that Camera Raw doesn't yet know how to read?

In case it helps and you didn't already know, it is possible to install an earlier version of Camera RAW.

Hi Michael, these are old cameras ( Canon 1DX mark II and Canon 1 DX) I have always been able to edit CR2 files.

Now Photoshop CC 2021 does not recognise the files, even old files I have previously edited.
