Can not save with Stamp/Healing brush selected

Since the latest Photoshop update V21.2. I have not been able to save files (program error) when I have the clone or healing brush selected. If I switch to another tool like marquee I can then save. A very strange and annoying bug. Has anyone else experienced this?

I thought it was a graphics issue with the brush cursor but when I switch to standard brush I can also save. What is going on?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

If you have exhausted the general trouble-shooting routines and the issue persists you may want to post a report over on
