Can´t open jpg files

Hi. I can´t open jpg files in photoshop. I have tried going back to previous upgrade but that did not work. I doesn´t matter if the image is on the desktop or in a folder. Please help.

Can you open them in any other applications?

Sounds as if you have a corruption in these JPGs.

There is not a problem with the files. The open in other applications and on other computers.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

It´s not at problem opening jpg in other applications, just in Photoshop.

When I try to open i get this message "Could not complete your request because the file could not be found."

What is the file’s name an full path?

Where is it situated (a internal drive, an external drive, a network volume, …)?

It does not matter were the file is, have tried to open files both on the desktop, intrenal drive and external drive. It is all jpg files I can´t open. Psd files are for example not a problem. I have tried to download jpg files, I can view them in other programs but not photoshop. I have opened old jpg files, made new jps files but cant open them either.

I have reset preferences but that did not work. I will try the things in the link and see if it helps. Thank you
