Photoshop 2021 v 22.1.0 (Mac Mojave 10.14.6 18G6020)
Can't save or export image when there is a layer visible. If I hide the layer, it saves, but when layer is not hidden it says Could not save because of a Program Error.
This version of PS is abysmal! So many crashes and errors.
DO NOT UPGRADE
Are there instructions anywhere for rolling back to the previous version?
I solved the issue -- and many other issues -- by unintalling version 22.1.0 and re-installing the previous version 22.0.1.
Obviously, Adobe rushed out 22.1.0 without any quality control, given the number of similar reports here.
Didn't do it for me. Photoshop 20.0.1 (Mojave 10.14.6.) still crashes on opening. I see a brief flash of flamingos, then a black screen. I can cmd-Q out after several tries.
Any other ideas?
Same issues with Photoshop 22.1.0 on MacOS 10.15.7. Lots of Program Errors doing various things, including saving.
Having the same issues.
Someone really needed to hit that update deployment date to get that bonus.
Ah, but those monthly autobillings do come around like clockwork, don't they.
I see no workaround on the crashing problem.
On the issue of Can't save because of program error, people have posted that if you click on the base layer and then hide all the others in your file, it will let you save it then. This has worked for me so far. Super inconvenient. Not a long-term solution.
Having the same issues and have not been able to get any of the "solutions" to work. Was doing a head swap on a family photo and no way to flatten the layers or save in a way to make the new photo complete. SO frutrated right now because I spent a lot of time making it flawless.
