Can't save documents presets file

After recent update, I started getting "Can't save documents presets file" message upon exiting PS. It is definitely related to this computer as I do not get it on my other machine.

Surface 6

Win 10

PS using creative cloud.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

 

Sorry that you cannot save document presets in Photoshop as you keep getting an error message "Can't save documents presets file" message upon exiting Photoshop.

 

Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using? Latest one is 21.2.4

 

Let's start by checking your user permissions on your user documents folder and since it's Win 10.

 

  • Create an exception for folder protection, should you use it. Location: C: \ Users \ [username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ Adobe Photoshop 2020 \ Adobe Photoshop 2020 Settings \
  • In File Explorer, right-click the folder and choose Properties.
  • Click the Security tab, and then click Edit to set permissions.
  • In the Permissions dialog, select your user name. In the Permissions area, deselect the Deny checkbox.  See the illustrations below:

I cannot locate the file you indicate when I navigate the path. See
screen shot below

I have set full access for all the Adobe 2020 folders and files... I am the administrator for the Surface.

Problem still exists. Also, when I open LRClassic, it displays the pop up announcing changes, which in the past only occurred on the first opening after the update.

 

I am still lost
