Hi all,

I just bought a Surface Pro 7, with the intention of using it to draw using a pen on the screen with photoshop. Unfortunately I'm not able to do this.

Photoshop CC seems to recognize my fingers touching the buttons, but doesn't recognize when I touch a pen to the screen at all. I've Googled it a bit, and it seems to suggest I need some drivers - but which ones I have no idea.

I'm on Windows 10, and am using a non-microsoft pen (just an old Wacom one).

Any help to point me in the right direction is appreciated

Hi @MatthewGibbons

Does your Wacom pen work with other applications? Or is it only Photoshop where it doesn't work?

Instead of "old", what type of Wacom pen and which driver? Which version of Photoshop?

I found this:

You might also try Microsoft support or Wacom support:

I don't know what model of Wacom pen it is, and I'm not aware of any driver that's needed. I've never used it before on a touch-screen tablet, so am unclear if it's intended for that purpose.

I guess my bigger question is, can I use any old stylus to draw on the Surface Pro screen and have it recognised or do I need to get a proper pen for this?
