Cannot open any files or close photoshop at all

I have recently installed photoshop, i go to use it after all the setup, and it does not me to allow open files and then the software doesnt close after. i have looked on the internet and none of it has been helpful or it has been unlclear

please help me fix this

What version of Photoshop and what are your computer system specs, there are issues with version 22.0, more info

im on a pretty mediocre laptop, should i revert to the previous edition

Probably the best option, you can revert to version 21.2.4 from the Creative Cloud app
