Hi,
Since updating to v22, I have not been able to use photoshop.
The error is 'Could not complete your request because of a program error'
This error comes up when I try opening ANY type of image file. It also comes up when I try to close photoshop either by File>Exit or hitting X. I have to force quit through task manager to close it.
I have tried V22.1.1, V22.1, V22.0.1, V22.0 and have the same issue with all of them.
V21.2.4 works.
After doing some research I have tried;
-reinstalling
-disabling generator
-resetting preferences (shft+ctrl+Alt while opening through CC then Reset Preferences on Quit)
- I tried to move the pref files in Appdata, but for Photoshop 2021 there are none of those files (maybe part of the issue?)
Windows 10
Does anyone have a solution? Let me know if you need any more info
-Jim

22.2.0 is available see if it works that work on your machine. Adobe upped the PC requirements required for PS 2021. On my Windows 10 PC all PS 2021 versions 22.x have worked all have issues. Line tool still crippled and 3D UV overlay and view have issues . Adobe has fixed some crashing issues in 22.2.0 and also fixed the Panning problem with Wacom pen

If your using an older graphics card or driver, GPU functionality in Photoshop may be limited or not supported.
Generally, consider using GPUs with an Average Ops/Sec of 2000 or higher on PassMark's GPU Computer Benchmark Chart.

Ah, I guess not.
Disabling the Graphics Processor seemed to fix it.
Thank you

Download the new resourse file from the authentic website. Before installing the software, turn off the active antivirus installed in the PC

I will have to ignore this. Theres something wrong about someone with 1 post saying to turn my antivirus off before downloading something from the web.
Does anyone else have a possible solution?

It says there is an update available for 21.2.4 (I have both v21 and v22 installed since I can't use 22)
It says v22.2 is up to date
