Hi, I cant use Photoshop with After Effects or Premier Pro installed. For the last month or two I’ve been having problems with Photoshop errors and I have spent many hours trying to fix the problem myself, yesterday I was on live chat with Mohamed from Adobe for over 3 hours.
The problem is, Photoshop runs perfect until I click anywhere outside of Photoshop. If I swap to another program, click the start button, skip a track on Spotify, drag and drop an image into Photoshop or do anything else outside of Photoshop I start having problems.
Some of the errors include:
- Cant save documents because I don’t have enough memory (RAM)
- Could not open "xxxx.jpg" because there is not enough memory (RAM)
- Could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM)
- The operation could not be complete (When trying save for web)
- Could not import clipboard because of a program error
After chatting with Mohamed for 3 hours I decided to delete all Adobe settings and reinstall all my apps. Here’s what happened after I uninstalled everything Adobe.
- Installed Photoshop 22.3.1 and it worked perfect. No errors all day
- Installed Acrobat Reader. Still no errors
- Installed After Effects 18.1 and Media Encoder 15.1. All the Photoshop problems returned
- Uninstalled After Effects and Media Encoder. Problems went away
- Installed Premier Pro 15.1 and Media Encoder 15.1. The problems returned
- Uninstalled Premier Pro and Media Encoder. Problems Went Away
- Installed Media Encoder 15.1. No problems
- Installed Premier Pro 18. The problems returned
- Uninstalled Premier Pro. Problems Went Away
- Installed After Effects 17.7. The problems returned
- Uninstalled After Effects and Photoshop is working perfect again
Does anyone have any suggestions how I can fix this? I need to use Photoshop and After Effects regularly.
Thanks
Dan
