Windows 10/64 16 gig ram Core i7 3.5
For reasons I cannot plumb, every time I activate the brush tool, the computer defaults to caps lock "on" which means if I want to see my brush, I have to tap the caps lock key which is about as annoying as a piece of gravel in one of your shoes.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks to those who know more than me,
Joe
Well, I lied. The caps phenomenon also occurs when thr clone tool and the area selection tool (nested w/magic wand).
And the beat goes on.
Thanks,
Joe

What is setting Cap Lock on? I do not see Windows 10 pro 2004 or Photoshop 21.2.2 messing with that keyboard key state. What have you installed on your system the would mess with that key state?

JJ, thanks for your reply. I am clueless as to what might cause it. It only happens in Photoshop and only when I activate the btush. I don't have anything weird on the machine. Just the normal stuff that a writer/photographer/graphic designer might have.
Thanks again,
Joe

Have you created any custom shortcut keys in PS?
Try Resetting Preferences on Quit from your Preferences Panel > General tab.

Nancy, great idea. I had forgotten that resetting prefernces is the great healer for a bunch of problems in dang near any Adobe program.

Great news! Glad it worked.
We're equal opportunity pet lovers, too, but we took a break from pets when our last one aged out.
