Clipping Mask Only Showing on Thumbnail

Hi,

I'm trying to get my clipping mask to work, and I've created another layer and clipped it, but when I draw on it, nothing shows up on the actual drawing, but it will on the layer thumbnail.

I've used clipping masks before, so I don't know why it isn't working. It will work on other works I have previously used clipping masks in, but not new pieces.

Any ideas would be great! Thank you!

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?

Please psot screenshot as suggested by @c.pfaffenbichler

Do you have actual content on layer below to which you have cliiped layer that you are painting on? If layer below is transparent nothing will show up. Concept of clipping mask is that clipped content will be visible only on parts with actual content or pixels on layer below.
