I've been trying to use the clone stamp tool for a project and after about 10 uses I get a error message that the scratch disks are full. Help doesn't give me anyway to resolve the issue except for going to the preferences and checking the scratch disk box to turn it from active to inactive. But when I do that the box doesn't go inactive. So I now have a project that I can't complete. Another resolution said to go into the Adobe install interface in my computer and move the scratch disks somewhere else. Well I can't move them if I can't find them. Search didn't bring them up either. Anyone know how I can fix this?

there's no magic. Scratch disk is just your disk, and it's too full. Make it much, much less full.
