I'm working on some photoshop file swith multiple layers, that, for purposes of better compatibility with some 3d apps, I'm saving as TIFF files, still with all the photoshop layers.
Yesterday I saved all my work as usual, signed off, and went home. Today I wanted to resuime my work and opened one of the files I've been working on yesterday, and I get this message saying "could not open Blah Blah.Tif because of a program error".
The rest of the files are fine so it's not the opening that's at fault - PS somehow mangled the file yesterday when I saved it.
External applicaitons still open it so the flattened TIF file is fine, it's just something in the layers that's corrupt.
I wonder if there's a way to recover the layers somehow, at least partially.
I'm on windows 10 64bit and the latest up-to-date photoshop.

Is there any chance that you might have saved a psd but misnamed it as ».tif«?
