I have looked through the community for this specific problem. All I found wa related to opening a JPG or EPS. My issue is different so I'm posting here. When I click the program icon to just open Photoshop, I get the error "could not complete your request because photoshop was unable to parse the postscript." I end up having to reinstall Photoshop from CC app. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to open any type of file format, I'm just trying to get Photoshop started up so I can open a file.

Sorry I noticed you said its happening on start up - did it crash while working in a file initially and perhaps is now trying to reopen said file?

Try this - hold shift when starting up - say yes to skipping optional/third party plugins.

It could be an errant extension generating the error.
