Could not edit original smart object because the disk is not available.

Hello everyone, i am trying to edit a smart object which is separated into a different file, for a book layout. It comes up with "Could not edit original smart object because the disk is not available." when I try to open the smart object. How do I solve this?

Connect the volume on which the Smart Object (apparently a Linked Smart Object) is stored.

Hi! Also: Make sure that the permissions are OK on that folder.
