I am trying to upload a pdf created in Photoshop into InDesign, after which I get a degredation of quality when I see it in InDesign. Is there a difference between how the two programs create, open, incorporate or otherwise handle pdfs?

Maybe View > Display Performance would help in InDesign? It's set to Typical Display but that might cause issues. Try "High Quality Display."

The degredation occurs in the printed copy as well. The rest of the file which is created in InDesign from the begining has no issues. It is just the imported Photoshop created pdfs.

"Degradation in quality" is pretty vague. Degraded how, exactly?
