Does this New Update Fix the Pen Tool nodes problem

I don't know anybody is still having issues with the pen tool.  It makes nodes that are connected to nothing.

I had to revert to an older version to get it to work since I use it so much, but I dont know if the new update fixes that or should I keep with the outdated version until I hear something else.
