Drop Shadows not rendering properly on some layers

I'm on version 21.0.1.

MacOS Catalina

 

The shadow on this orb rendered perfectly fine before updating PS. There are no masks on the layer. There are no masks on the folder it is inside. The mask on the adjustment layer isn't turned on, and I tried deleting it as well. Zooming in and out does not change the rendering. Changing where the orb group is at in the layers order doesn't work. The only thing that does work is isolating the orb from the group and moving it elsewhere in the layer order.

See if going to Photoshop>Preferences>Performance and checking Legacy Compositing makes any difference.
