I had the same problem. Then I decided to be stupid and did an update reroll and ended up losing all of my settings, brushes, presets and workspaces. So don't do what I did.

I'm sure it's linked to the update we did yesterday! Sh** , I'm stuck and my costumer waits:/

Yeah, I was in the same positions, basically, so I tried the reroll thing and lost everything. I'm thinking if you do a backup of all your settings, workspaces and so on you could to a reroll?

Yeah, exactly, it works, but I'm still handicapped without my stuff. Gotta start from the beginning again...

It sure does. But I suppose it's my own fault for being too stressed out to think straight.

I'm not sure, mate! I suppose it is a bug. I worked on a picture for an hour and no chance to save it. So I exported the single layers to rescue my work at least:/

PHEW! I have now managed to find most of my presets, brushes and workspaces! So I've done a reroll, so that I can save my files, and will be waiting for Adobe to fix this mess.

I hope you get the update ASAP and/or manage to find another solution.

I rolled back to 22.0.1(via Creative Cloud) and rolled back Camera Raw to 12.4 (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html). Process took maybe 10 minutes. 

Issues abated.

After updating to 22.1, I can't create new or open files

Try to downgrade, i guess it is a bug since more and more are complaining!

Someone a solution yet?  It happens at  random moments !!!!! What I do now is "Ctrl S" after every layer so when it buggs I don't lose everything. When comes a solution from Adobe????
