Error box "Alpha information will be lost" What to do?

During the save process of the PSD to DDS I'm getting this error box that pops up after I choose the save format (ie - DXT1, DXT3, ect.) that says the Alpha information may be lost. The only problem I'm saving as a DXT1 and their was never any alpha channel to begin with. The PSD then doesn't save correctly to the DDS, like at all. The only thing that has helped is closing completely out of Ps and opening again. Just a little frustrating when you've got multiple PSD's going and you're not at a spot where saving is remotely convenient. Have you ever had this happen? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

I'm using Ps CC 2018

What service are you using to export the texture files? Intel? Nvidia?

Have you checked for updates compatible with the version of PS you are running?
