Hi there,
I have a problem. I Cant understant the way saving targa file in Photoshop works. I'm Editing targa file in 8bit mode, because I wanna export 8 bit map. Still. Saving file as Targa shows window at the end with only 16/24/32 or sth like that. Will my file finally be in that 8 bit or photoshop transforms used in edition 8bits to that 16/24/32? Thats beyond my understanding why final 8 bit saving option is missing. (using PS 2021).

Bit depth is referring to bits per channel.

An 8-bit RGB file contains three channels, and is sometimes called a 24-bit file, since 8 x 3 = 24, but 8-bit is commonly used.

If you start out with an 8-bit file and do not change the bit depth, it will still be 8-bit when you save or save as.
