Hi,
When I export a photo with my edits, stripes and other artifacts appear. I found that the problem occurs not only when I export but also when I merge, flatten or create a stamp visible from my layers. Furthermore, I found the specific layers that behave this way, and they are two Levels adjustment layers in Lighten blending mode which I used to create a chromatic aberration effect on my image. When I merge/flatten/stamp visible those layers, they get a different look. How do I merge, flatten, stamp visible and/or export these types of layers to keep the effect that I am going for? Thank you.
Specs:
Photoshop 2020 21.2.6
Macbook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6
Psd: sRGB, 16bit

- psd with the image and the problematic layers (it will finish uploading to my Dropbox in an hour... slow Internet)
- image before exporting/merging/etc
- image after exporting/merging/etc
Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?
Edit: Rather two screenshots, one of the layered and one of the merged image.
In all likelihood you are falling victim to a display issue due to caching.

I believe you found the solution! Thank you.
When I look at the image at 100% view, the stripes and artifacts become visible, even before merging. I'll have to edit/retouch at 100%+ zoom level as well from now on.

Previously one could avoid the issue by setting the Cache Level in the Performance Preferences to 1 (at a cost in Perfomance, naturally) … but it got broken and hasn’t been fixed so far.
