Eye dropper tool - Colour preview ring not shwowing?

Hey Guys,

So i have noticed today that my 'colour preview ring' when sampling colours in photoshop is not showing up.  All i get is the actual icon of the eye dropper tool, so it makes it more difficult to preview colours on the fly.  Any ideas?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?

Check in the performance tab to make sure your GPU is enabled and that use opencl is checked

More than likely your issue is related to your GPU, the Radeon HD 5670 was released in 2010

Photoshop GPU system requirements have changed with the last 2 versions, both requiring recent GPU's with a minimum of 2GB of vram, your system only has 512MB of vram

You could try installing an older version of Photoshop from here

Thank you for confirming this.  I need to up my skills when it comes to building the perfect station 's (ram and vram wise - techy jargon) when it comes to my work stations.  albeit it did order th best bigesst and best packages.  Ill look into this or  see if i can do anything to increase these things for a better exp

hey pal, i was wondering if you knew where the older versions of photoshop 2018 cc, via the link provided, is that still part o your subscription or a seperate entity, i.e with i have two version of photoshop ony my system or does the older simply replace the newer one ive been struglling with (system issues wise)
