Feature Request for Photoshop

Not sure if feature requests go here, but here is mine!

I like the Navigator panel, but don't like the fact that I can't move the red box in the panel off the edge of the image. I would love to!

To better explain, here's an example: when I work in "Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar", I can, with the hand tool, move the image edge to the middle of my screen: edges are no limitation to the movement of the main image. In the Navigator panel, on the contrary, the edge is the limit of movement for the red box that defines the view in the main area. How frustrating that I can't move the image edge that the Navigator panel covers from behind the panel and into the middle of the screen where it's viewable. This is possible if I use the hand tool to move the main image directly (and the red box in the panel actually changes proportion to reflect the new view properly oddly enough). It seems to me that this requested feature is halfway to being made already! Maybe it wouldn't take much to bring it fully into reality!

Thanks for considering it!

Awesome - thanks for this! I couldn't find it on Adobe's site or through the CC interface.

I understand that you want to do it in the Navigator panel, but for now, a workaround is to use the Birds’ Eye View shortcut: Hold down the H key (shortcut for Hand tool), then drag. When you hold down the H key and mouse down, a Navigator-like rectangle appears on the document, and you can drag it at least a short distance beyond the edge. When you release the mouse, the document will be repositioned partially off screen. Below is a video demonstrating Birds’ Eye View; although he doesn’t drag the rectangle past the image edge, it is possible.
