Features suddenly stop working

Hi, Im very new to photoshop and Im loving it so far. However I was trying to merge 2 photos together but some of the festures like hide/reveal stopped working all of the sudden. Any ideas on what I can do? I have already closed and restared photoshop a couple times anf they still are not working.

Post a Screen Capture that shows what you are doing in Photoshop. Hide/reveal are you having problems with mask or extras.  Usually you composite images together  using masks where you add a layer mask to one or more layers.   Black Hides, White shows, and gray blends.
