I was producing a file for professional matters. I left it safe and everything was correct in the folder, I needed to turn off my computer, and when I called it again I lost all my drawing and layers. They just disappeared!
Help me, please.

The layers panels show a flattened file which means the file might be saved as a jpg

with a psd extension written after naming the file.

That's a corrupt file.

File corruption is always caused by failing hardware. Most commonly it's a failing drive, and if it's an external drive it can also be loose connectors or a bad cable. Never save directly to an external drive; save locally and then copy over. Sometimes bad RAM can also corrupt files.

You need to identify the failing hardware ASAP and replace it before the corruption spreads. Make backups of everything important.
