Hello,
I'm going through a PS Class, and have now experienced this issue on two different very different laptops. Both using Windows 10. I have had this issue on my work laptop, a Thinkpad, and on my new laptop. The FX Gradient layer is not displaying the way it should.

I fail to see the problem; could you post a screenshot where the Layer is visible?

Hi @Lissa_Beth ,
I see your default gradient swatches are missing. If you open any of the folders, Basic for example, do you have any gradients in there?
Try to append your gradients. Choose the Cog > Append Default Gradients.
Let us know how you progress.
Good luck

In the Gradients Panel the »Legacy Gradients« are also still available.

That's curious @c.pfaffenbichler ,
I don't have that.
That's Ps 22.3 right?
Best

Yes, Photoshop 22.3.0 on macOS 10.15.7
That’s strange, it is not available in the Options Bar but the Gradients Panel’s dropdown menu should offer it.
