Hi. I have designed a FIFA Coin (image preview in the provided link). I used a texture and some gradient to give a gold effect to it, but I'm not very satisfied with the results. Do you know a better way to do it, or is there a tutorial for it? Thanks in advance.
You might try adding a Style to it. Styles are saved settings of the various effects in Layer Styles. There are some metallic styles in the Legacy styles. To add Legacy Styles go to Window > Styles to open the Styles panel. Click the panel menu in the upper right corner and go to Legacy Styles and More. Then double click on the layer where you want to apply the layer style and click on Styles at the top on the left to select one on the right side. Go to Legacy Styles and More > 2019 Styles > Met

Because they are styles, you can edit how they appear by clicking on the various options on the left (on the name, not the checkmark--that turns it off). For Gold, you might want to modify the Bevel & Emboss settings.

Creating a gold effect for a FIFA coin can be achieved through graphic design software. Here's a simple guide on how to create a gold effect for a FIFA coin using a tool like Adobe Photoshop:
Create a New Document: Open Photoshop and create a new document with the dimensions you want for your FIFA coin.
Design the Coin: Design the basic shape and layout of your FIFA coin. Include the necessary elements such as the FIFA logo, coin denomination, and any other relevant details.
Base Color: Start with a base color for your coin. For a gold effect, choose a warm, rich yellow or gold color as your background.
Gradient Overlay: Apply a gradient overlay to add depth to the gold effect. Choose a gradient that goes from a darker gold at the edges to a lighter shade towards the center. Adjust the opacity to achieve a subtle transition.
Texture Overlay: Add a texture overlay to simulate the texture of gold. You can find gold textures online or create your own. Apply the texture over the coin design and adjust the blending mode and opacity until it looks realistic.
Embossing and Beveling: Use layer styles like embossing and beveling to create a three-dimensional look. Adjust the settings to give the coin a raised, polished appearance.
Lighting and Shadows: Add lighting and shadows to enhance the realism. Consider the direction of light and add highlights to the raised parts of the coin while casting shadows in the recessed areas.
Fine Details: Pay attention to fine details like edges and edges. Add a thin stroke or bevel to the edges to simulate the thickness of a real coin.
Adjustment Layers: Experiment with adjustment layers such as Hue/Saturation and Color Balance to fine-tune the color and overall appearance of the gold effect.
Final Touches: Make any final adjustments and enhancements to ensure the coin looks polished and realistic.
Remember, the key to a convincing gold effect is attention to detail and the use of subtle gradients, textures, and shading. Feel free to experiment with different settings until you achieve the desired result.
