I am on the latest photoshop version, 2021, and for all my files I am getting glitches of grey boxes that are appearing on my artboard. A simple 4mb jpg file is glitching when I adjust curves and levels or zoom in then out. I tested out checking and unchecking (use graphic processor) and that does nothing. Graphic processor was unchecked when I noticed the problem. Does anyone have any solutions to fixing this? I uploaded a screen recording for reference

(I am also working off of a macbook pro mid 2018)

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop due to the artboard issue. Would you mind telling us if this only happens on artboards or on any images you open to edit as well? Which macOS version are you working on? Have you tried re-installing the app to check if that helps? If not, please try that to check if it helps.

If you're working on macOS Big Sur, please go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Photoshop is added to the list with a check mark in front of it. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj
