Bonjour,

:united_states::united_kingdom:

Hello,

I see in Photoshop that it is possible to load new halftone screens (ahs format) via bitmap mode. Very little information on the web I don't know how to create an ahs file by myself or via a conversion from png or jpg?

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thank you in advance for your answers 🙂

Elise

It seems like what you are looking for is PostScript Custom Spot Function. I found a rather old site that's still informative, Postscript Halftones - The Grymoire! but it doesn't say much about custom spots. He does recommend the book Real World Scanning and Halftones by David Blatner et al, which is out of print, but is excellent if you can find a copy. You may be able to find more information in the PostScript Language Reference Manual.
