HELP! Saving Layers in Photoshop as SVG

I have a photo that I separated all colors by using the magic wand. Every color has it's own layer. I saved each layer as a SVG but they are not opening in Cricut. 

The point of me doing this.. is that I want to be able to upload a photo to Cricut and after it uploads to Cricut (as an SVG) Each color can be changed if need be. I hope that made sense. Help...

Photoshop does not really support AI Vector File like .SVG  Photoshop is a Pixel editor and only has some limited vector tools.  So exporting Shape layers and Text layer as an SVG file may create svg file with vectors in them.  Pixel layers exported as an SVG file will not certain any vector information just image information.   SVG File can be open in a Text editor and be read. You color Pixel layers saved as svg files will not contain any vectors. If you make Shape layers like your color layers and export those layer as SVG file you may be able to use them like you want with that application.
