How do I defringe a black and white image in Photoshop? Layer/Matting option is greyed out. Thx.

Hi There,

That does not sound right, as the Matting option is grayed out, could you please make sure that the layer is unlocked? Click on the little lock icon on the Layer to unlock it?

Also, make sure that the correct layer is selected.

Matting will be grayed out on text layers.
