How to get out of 3D mode

Hello,

New Photoshop user here. I was experimenting with making 3D text but now I can't seem to get out of the 3D mode and the tool bar seems to be different because of it.

Have you tried Window > Workspace > Default?

I was able to fix the situation by going to the toolbar and probably doing what you suggested, more or less.
